The Les Straw Hats® Story…

In 2016, while working in the transportation business, “Delivering People not Pizzas”, Les Straw Hats® straw and drink covers were conceived. As passengers rode in my car, I started covering my drinking straws with napkins or paper towels to help shield them from unwanted particles and germs. Have you ever done that before?  Well, covering my straws like this did not look good nor did it work too well, so I started thinking about a better solution.

Later that same year, I visited a family friend in the hospital and noticed how medical workers left their drinking straws uncovered and exposed to the hospital’s environmental elements and germs. I also saw how their drinks were prone to getting mixed-up. At that point, I realized that the need for disposable drinking straw covers was greater than I had imagined and the idea was further etched in my mind.

It became imperative to create a straw & drink cover that combined the elements of: Functionality, ease of use, be fun, disposable, recyclable and stylish, have the ability to fit many size and shape straws, provide work & travel convenience, and that would help to avoid drink mix-ups.  Voilà…Les Straw Hats® straw and drink covers were born!  To God Be The Glory!!
